About Me

Who is this guy?

Well, chances are if you have made it to this site you are either a personal friend/family member or you saw it on Facebook, so hopefully you know a little about me.  If not, here are the Cliffnotes:

After growing up in Northern Virginia, I have been fortunate enough to land in Colorado Springs, CO at the base of the Rocky Mountains.  Yes, this has resulted in frequent Dumb and Dumber quotes.  It was difficult to leave all of my family and friends back in Virginia, but God has blessed me with a great community of friends here, almost all of whom have brought me closer to Him in some way or another.

I’m a proud Virginia Tech Hokie alum and some of my best memories come at the expense of my vocal chords at football games.  Now that I’m in Colorado I’ve been busy hiking, mountain biking, skiing, and doing anything else that’ll get me into the great outdoors.  I’ve also started volunteering as a co-leader for YoungLife at Rampart High School and I’m excited to see how God works in the lives of these high schoolers.

You can read more in the “Purpose of this Blog” section, but I’m doing this blog because I want to dedicate myself to a year of study and absorption of God’s Word.  Keeping a blog and writing about all the different ways God speaks to me and teaches me over the next year will not only help me retain more, it will help me process it and apply it to my life.

Anyway, here goes nothing.  I’m excited for the challenge, a bit intimidated by it’s scale, and ready to learn a little more about this guy I call my Savior.
